WHY MAKEDONIKA?

Perhaps no history, culture and identity have been as controversial and disputed as the Macedonian one. There are many places on the Internet that claim to be ``Macedonian" including many Greek and Bulgarian propaganda sites thus creating confusion among students and observers of Macedonia. Whom and what should one believe? In an attempt to answer this question we have created MAKEDONIKA to serve as online source of information regarding Macedonia and Macedonian matters, to collect and bring you as many quality texts on Macedonia as possible hoping to dispel the fog that envelops many of the issues. To present a complete picture texts of Greek, Bulgarian and other writers have been included, sometimes with our comments. The site has been created and maintained by enthusiasts without any assistence, and we would like to stress this point, from any state or institution.
